Brief Biographical Sketch:

My name is Tracie Benally and I am sophomore at Smith College. I am an American Studies major and Women's Education Concentrator, and have considered pursuing a certificate in Native American/Indigenous Studies through the 5 College Consortium. I am new to Splash, but have taught courses in Indigenous sovereignty, Indigenous history, and college preparation through other programs. Outside of the classroom, I am the vice-chair for Smith's Indigenous Students and Allies Organization, and work for Teach For American under the Native Alliance Initiative team. In my off-time, I dabble in Native American politics, education, and history.
